When workers unite, they make things better for everyone

About AAU

The Atlantic Academic Union (AAU), formerly the Nova Scotia Community College Academic Union (NSCCAU), was established on July 1, 2018, and has represented faculty and professional support staff at NSCC ever since. As of August 1, 2023, we are proud to be known as the Atlantic Academic Union (AAU).

We advocate for the rights and interests of NSCC faculty and professional support staff, working collaboratively to ensure fair treatment, strong representation and a supportive academic environment. Our union is governed by a Board Executive and Campus Representatives, and supported by a dedicated team of three full-time staff.

We’re committed to serving our members with integrity, responsiveness and care—and we always welcome the opportunity to hear from you. Reach out anytime to connect with one of our helpful staff members.
