AAU Congratulates Anna Burke on Appointment as Acting President of NSCC

The Atlantic Academic Union is pleased to recognize the appointment of Anna Burke, Vice President of College Services and Strategy, as the Acting President of Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC). The College’s Board of Governors confirmed the appointment, which will take effect immediately following President Don Bureaux’s final day in the role on February 19.

Anna has been a central figure in NSCC’s strategic and operational leadership for many years. Her work has consistently reflected a commitment to collaboration, student success, and the long‑term vitality of the College. The Board’s decision underscores the confidence placed in her ability to guide NSCC through this period of transition while the search for a new president is underway.

As Acting President, Anna will oversee the institution’s continued progress on key initiatives and ensure stability across campuses and departments. The AAU looks forward to ongoing partnership and dialogue with her as she steps into this important role.
